Circles in the Sky

On our approach to the Malabo, we had to circle the island for almost an hour. It turns out that the presidents of surrounding African nations were landing their VIP flying limos for the 28th anniversary celebrations of the Coup d' etat that led to the rule of the current regime. The 3rd of August is like the 4th of July. Equatoguineans celebrate their liberation from a bloody dictator ship. The Equatoguinean President His Excellency Teodoro Obiang Ngema will witness a military parade to show his people his power as a leader.

I passed the extra time talking to other passengers and trying to get a decent picture of the breath taking clouds scape we kept circling.
